About Pooja

For as long as she can remember, there has been dance. Pooja’s formal training began at the age of six with Bharatanatyam, before she moved into contemporary, ballet, jazz and salsa training under M.S. Sreedhar at Body Language, Alliance Française de Bangalore, where she learned the discipline that has stayed with her since.

After moving to the United States, she found her way to Kathak — not a return to childhood dance, but a discipline she chose as an adult, and has trained in for close to a decade.
